erroneous values in data log - can't start
MS MS I V2.2
Injectors 19.3 Lbs. low impedance 1.6 ohm
I installed MS with all the sensors and ran on the original CIS injection system and did numerous data logs. I added the Dave cap to get rid of some erroneous RPM indications. I was confident with the last few data logs that I had good clean signals from all sensors, so I installed the fuel injectors to finish the system.
By playing with the start pulses and after start I had one successful start and was able to use the warm up wizard and ran the engine up to 160* F. After this run I have not had it running again. Data logs showed erroneous RPM signals, I discovered that in the first run the R10 had over heated and also the D5 was damaged. I have replaced the D5 and increased the R10 to 1.0K, I still have the jumper across D8 and have data logged some start attempts.
There are a few problems with the data logs:
1. I get a engine bit code of 3 and the Tuning Manual says that shouldn’t happen.
2. When the key is first turned on there is an erroneous RPM indicated during the prime pulse (2.0 ms) and while the fuel pump runs
3. After the engine fires and stalled the data log still indicates a RPM of 300
I am using the relay board and prior to this data log I replaced the tach signal wire from the coil to the relay board with shielded, but it did not make a difference. I will replace the tach signal wire in the DB37 cable with shielded also
Can you look at the attached data log and MSQ and see were I’m going wrong.
Thanks in advance
Kirk
Forgot to mention I have flyback board installed...
