i am having trouble getting my car to start (it worked when i had low impedance settings on my high impedance injectors)

now i cant get the car to start. my constants are the following

Image

i am not sure if i should put my priming pulse on .1 (for piggy back) or 2.
my injectors arent piggybacked and nither is the fuel pump.. so i suppose 2 is a good number to work with

my pulse width range is the default 12-4 i have played around with the pulse #'s in the enrichments page but still no start :O

Help would be welcome like a christmas present... been working on this car for 5 days or so with no luck @_@

anyone have an aba msq file.. maybe that will help me get in the right direction.

thanks!

try to get some warm up enrichments from someone with an aba. And take it from there

LRoy12,

Let us know what your warm-up and cranking pulse widths look like. If you have a datalog of a starting attempt, that would be helpful as well.

Roy,

The cranking pulsewidths should not be affected by the injector parameters at all, the PWM is turned off during cranking in all the code variants except for old B&G MS-I code (1.0 and 2.0). Something else is going on if the only thing thing you've changed is the PWM parameters and now it won't fire... What do your enrichments look like?

LRoy12,

That dataog doesn't show any rpm at all. Are you sure you have 12 Volts to MegaSquirt while cranking?

12 and 1 pulse widths is probably too wide a range. The first number should be about 3 to 5 times the second number. So I'd change them to 15 and 4 (based on your 17.8 req_fuel), and experiment from there.

To smell a bit of gas while cold cranking is normal.

The rest of the numbers look reasonable, though the warm-up enrichments are on the low side of normal. So you could bump them up a bit. Something like 100, 106, 113, 120, 126, 133, ... should work.

BTW, there's lot's more tips here: http://www.megasquirt.info/v22manual/mtune.htm#howto

However, changing the PWM parameters should not affect the starting, as Eric says, so I wonder if the code or MSQ file has become corrupt. If this were mine, I'd re-load the code and them input the parameters manually (rather than reloading the MSQ file), so you are starting with a 'clean sheet'. Be sure to save the file once you have entered it.

i was viewing the realtime display and it shows that the voltage drops down to ~10.2 when i am cranking.

i dont know why i am getting no rpm reading.. i thought i had it connected to the negative terminal on my coil. (i will have to triple check that)

i will reflash the code and start a new file :D hope this works

i reflashed the code and started a new msq file and changed my pw to 15-4

i tried another tach point but i got no signal.
