Yes you can use a NB but tuning the upper MAP area is'nt recommended with one.

Will this work with 24s9?
I installed b627, copied my b514 msns-extra.ini file into b627's mtcfg dir, copied the text into custom.ini in the car1/mtcfg dir, and loaded MT. The checkbox for Autotune is there, so far so good.
But when I check it, one second later I get the message that I'm outside the tuning window. Even though I modded it (in MS-1 as well as both the "other" sections, just to be safe) to
Code: Select all
allowAutoTune = on
corrector = egoCorrection
; Vertex tolerance parameters
xRadius = 250 ; RPM
yRadius = 7 ; MAP
; Tuning block parameters
xLimits = 500, 7000 ; RPM
yLimits = 20, 140 ; MAP
zLimits = 10, 200 ; VE
any thoughts?

Kyle,
I don't see anything reason that you'd be outside the tuning block, those parameters values should keep you in the box most of the time. Check your audit.log and make sure that MT is reading the correct custom.ini for these settings.

Code: Select all
r custom.ini
+ C:/Mega/car1/mtCfg/custom.ini
that's the custom with the above code.
I can't see in the audit.log that it's actually
running the autolearn settings, but if they weren't being run, the checkbox wouldnt' appear in the tuning window, right?
No reason that the 24s9 code, 24s9 msns-extra.ini, and b627 can't all play together, right?

Thats basically what Im running above, except Im using b631. Once I set the windows it works great. Try b631.

Kyle,
That is correct.

Well, the post-555 builds have a bunch of the values renamed in settings.ini, which were incorporated in Extra's 025 and later ini files. If you mix 024 ini, with some pre-555 ini files (settings.ini) and post-555 megatune.ini and custom.ini, you might have some problems...

ok, so this version of megatune looks awesome. now how do i make it work with my megasquirt? i've got the old .s19, version 024s9. What do I need to get for MSnS-E (EDIS), and where do I get it? Thanks.
someone please explain in one place exactly what I have to do to get this thing to work with 24s9. there's plenty of info, but it's so scattered that it's impossible to get everything sorted out.
peace.

Mateo,
To make it work with 024 you'll need to use an old settings.ini and custom.ini, but cut the [AutoTune] section out of the new MT carMtCfg/custom.ini and paste it into your old one. Once you do this, you should scan your audit.log in the car1 directory to make sure that you are reading the old files an no new ones from the MT directories, as these might mess things up.
