where did you get your flex fuel sensor? I have been looking on ebay, as well as common parts house, and can't seem to find one. I really don't want to buy one from the dealer, and the seller suggested on the flex fuel ms2 info page hasn't sold one in a while.

I bought mine from the eBay seller mentioned in the MS-II Flex Fuel page. My suggestion is to write an eBay search for “flex fuel sensor” and have it email when it gets a hit; I’ve noticed that every 2-3 weeks one becomes available from a wrecked S15. Another route would be to use the following URL to get the VIN code of flex fuel vehicles (by model) and shop it via the internet junk yards:

http://www.e85fuel.com/information/vin.php

Finally, you may be able to buy new old stock (at a discounted price) from a GM dealer of the discontinued sensor. That will likely be a more expensive route, but still better than the $500+ they apparently want for the current model.

Good luck,
Evan

Just filled up with e85 (came out to about e65 with what was in my tank).

I really need to get the flex fuel sensor, this is some good stuff. I added 2 degrees of timng globally, and another 2 in the regions I was knock limited. It makes ALOT more power. In 4th gear, it is enough additional that either:
1) The clutch is slipping
2) The engine is accelerating so fast it sounds like the clutch is slipping

Keep in mind this is a boosted car @ 21 psi, and I was able to add 4 degrees of timing at the torque peak (maybe more, that was my first guess).

I just drove to the station and filled up on my lunch break (and loaded a tune while it was pumping). So I haven't got much driving time yet. It feels great though, and the smell is also nice :D
