the VE&Ignition tables....resolution

Post by WJM »

After spending several hours tuning the MS on my RX (HUGE thanks to Jerry@DIYautotune.com (http://www.diyautotune.com/), and several others on here helping him and us out on getting it going right!).....I have come to the conclusion that I would like more resolution on the tables.

any way to go about this?

More than 12x12? Not possible with the current software. If you don't mind me asking, what brought you to the conclusion that you need more load points? If you set up the table correctly 12x12 should be more than enough.

even with the tables looking smoother than smooth could be...the ARF's are not smooth....

Bump!

I have been messing around some more lately...Ive got the 12x12 tables norrowed down as far as I can go within the idle to 7psi (30~155 kPa) and the RPM range (1000~6500)...going to tune on that tonight and see if I can get the AFR's smooth.

On the previous table setup, going to 240 kPa and 7000 rpm from 600...the AFR's were 'OK' but not what I wanted....I spent a good amount of time working on it.

After I do some tuning I'll see if I can figure out how to post the logs and all that nice stuff.

but in all seriousness....how would I go about getting a 24xs24 or larger resolution table into the MS software/hardware?

Rewrite the code, rewrite the tuning configuration. You can't go to 24x24, there simply isn't enough RAM. On the MS-II you have 24x24x2 = 1152 bytes per table x 3.5 tables = 4032 bytes from 4096 total. On MS-I, you have 24x24 = 576 bytes and the processor has 512 bytes RAM.

that could also be because of how youve set up your acceleration enrichment, and how quickly your wideband is sampling....
