some info for a newb

Post by Shadow250 »

i'm starting a project converting a zzr250 (ex250) from carb to efi. i'm using a ninja 300 to base everything off of,

while i'm learning the diagrams/wiring guides and such, i've come across a little hiccup,

the ninja 300 throttle body comes as standard with 2 injectors, throttle position sensor, sub throttle position sensor and sub throttle actuator.
though the wiring diagram given out only has the fast idle valve as 2 cables (one from power shared with ecu power and injector power) and one from the microsquirt.
but the throttle body comes with 3 pin for the sub throttle position sensor and 4 pin for the actuator.

the sensor i'm guessing can be wired into one of the aux ports in the microsquirt but as for the actuator i'm drawing a blank.

i know i'm missing something, is there any idea's floating around that would tie the actuator in?

That's a stepper motor. The Microsquirt can't drive a stepper directly. I make a PWM to stepper controller, but you need to figure out how you're going to translate that position signal into a PWM output signal.

Alternately, simply remove the secondary butterfly.
