VR sensor position

Post by Balsac »

Hi guys

I am just getting started on this project again I have Triumph tr6 and I brought a micro squirt3 and a 36-1 trigger wheel
I have already fitted it to the harmonic balancer so that the missing tooth is 60 deg before TDC.
Is this right and if so at what deg do I put the VR sensor.
Thanks in advance Stevo

The advantage of using the controller to directly read the wheel (vs using an EDIS module or similar) is that you have near-complete freedom in placing both the missing tooth and the sensor. 60* BTDC for the tooth should be no problem, and you can set the VR where it works best for you. Once you have the VR sensor located, you can set your delay teeth and offset angle (if any) to tell the MicroSquirt exactly where everything is.
