Greetings,

In an effort to share .msl files for forum data logging review, if I understand the process correctly, the mega log data logging files need to be "saved as" .msq.

I have the registered version of mega log (3.4.03) from tuner studio but the only options are for "save as" are .xls .log .msl .dif .csv .dat . I'm missing something, obviously.

Just guessing here. Do I need to save as .msq in Tuner Studio initially, then future mega log files will be .msq or ?

I went to the example for adding attachments, but I don't understand how the .msl converts to a .msq file.

Thank you!

Hi again,

They are two different formats

.msl is the TunerStudio data logging format, so you open this with MegaLogViewer and it's really useful for diagnosing problems
.msq is the file info that the MicroSquirt uses to run, so it'll have all the relevant settings you are using, like no of cylinders, required fuel, etc etc

For other forum folk to help you, and in your case when you had a running engine, and then upgraded to another firmware comparing your .msqs is useful. If you have a running fault, etc than reviewing your .msl file that captures this event would be useful too.

Hope this helps
Mike
