Ignition Drivers

Hi, i'm looking at using external ignition drivers for my MS install and have been reccomended a VW or Audi part, does anyone know the ideal ones to use and part numbers for these?

I don't know which one is "ideal". The 211 is the one listed in the manual - http://www.microsquirt.info/Bosch_211.htm After a lot of research I used an older 2 channel unit. There is some info that might help you here - http://www.tfelectronics.com.au/PageFiles/ignition.html.

I had a hard time finding the connector here in the states. The connector for the 7 pin units is - 1 287 013 005. The AMP / tyco electronics number is 144477-1. I ended up ordering it from here http://www.eagleday.com/ampconnectors.html. It was expensive but after lots of searching and inquiries this is the ONLY place I could find that stocked it. But if iirc I came up with several suppliers for both parts over on your side of the pond. There's also info on the Bosch website.
