Fractious injector test behaviour

Post by Mr Duck »

Microsquirt.
firmware v 2.883j
megatune v 2.25
In megatune tools select injector test mode, burn ecu, power cycle and the injectors begin to fire.
1)They continue beyond the specified count.
2)selecting normal mode does not turn them off.
3)reading the ecu shows text mode
4)selecting normal mode does not turn them off
5)burning normal mode and power cycle does not turn them off
6)after burning normal mode, reading the ecu shows normal mode
Injectors are still running.

Injector test mode was tested and it worked when it was first coded. I will check and see whether any of the many new code changes have broken this mode.

Thanks. Matt over at DIY reported that this was not the only case he had heard of.
Overall I'm impressed with the microsquirt. We installed on a friends bike and he's tuning.
My thin wallet went with the megasquirt 1 v3 board.
Hope to have my bike together enough to fire up in a few weeks.

The injector test mode was indeed broken - a temporary variable was used for 2 different purposes at the same time - not good. This has been fixed and there will shortly be a new v2.884 release on the general info thread both here and on MS II.
