Right now, as opposed to some time in the future, you could fit a single tooth wheel and an extra sensor for Microsquirt, or you could modify your existing wheel and use the existing sensor with MS1/Extra and run wasted spark. If you want something that simply works with your Guzzi with no changes then there is no Mega/MicroSquirt solution at the moment. But you could do fuel first with no changes and then modify the wheel later when you're ready for ignition control.

The power commander should work fine for your "small" mods. You can use a PCIII model made for Ducati or Aprilia RSV. They are both the same PCIII core. The only difference is in the wiring harness, wich is specific for each bike model. And as the connector on the PCIII is a simple micro-fit Molex connector, you can easily build your own harness.

Aye,

Angelo, are you the admin from Swiss Moto Guzzi Forum ??? :D :D

If yes, what are you doing here, old men :D

If no, are you sure about same core PCIII USB core like Ducati or Aprilia ? What kind of Ducati do you mean ? PC delivers also some sensor test tool with PCIII USB (when kit will be available)
Anyway, the delivered fuel map with Ducati or Aprilia can`t be the same like for a Moto Guzzi. So you can expect some difficulties when you let run the engine first time with a Ducati map :?:
Perhaps engine will not start with a foreign map.

Hi Kerbel,

No, I am not the admin for the swiss moto guzzi forum.

I have not used a PCIII. But it is a generic core wich capture pulses from the factory ecu, and drive the injectors with modified (duration) pulses.

It is obvious that you can't use the Ducati or Aprilia maps. You have to built your own, wich suits your bike modifications.
The first run must be done with the zero map loaded, wich means that no modifications are done to the ecu pulses.

For example, a friend used a honda cbr600 PCIII on his aprilia V2 bike. With special maps, the PCIII was able to drive the two standard manifold injectors, and also drive two showers injectors. The shower injectors were activated only at high rpm and high load.

The bike runs perfectly. Will be probably better with head works and a better exhaust.

Since grippo has added some special code for 90 degree V2 odd fire, we can follow up this topic again.
Due to cam driving sensorwheel, the rpm limit with 12000 rpm is not a problem for a moto Guzzi engine.
Grippo has tested till 12000 rpm and a big Guzzi engine will be destroyed when you run it above 9000 rpm (crank). Anyway, when the cam in a guzzi engine turns with 9000 rpm, the engine will be destroyed 9000 rpm before :D
I will wait till more results are available.

did you have success to apply the MegaSquirt or MicroSquirt to your Guzzi?

What type of injectors do you use? The flow rate would be interesting.

Hi,

Just not tried, because I`ve tested before some stuff for data collection (VDSTS and TechEdge) but I`m not satisfied with the results.
Note: Please don`t buy products from TechEdge. They have are veryveryvery bad support and no guarante on their products.
When you will do a serious job here, you have to spend a lot of money and much more time. In the moment I don`t have both :-(

Anyway, I assume Microsquirt is still not available ?
I`ve also investigated some time to check the Vers... project on the paper.

I Use the stock injectors (14 Ohm)

kerbel,

Do you have additional technical information about the stock injectors. I do need the flow rate.
