Wayne,

I'm a bit confused here, I think you must be using speed density - I have no experience with speed density but I don't think it is a problem if the MAP goes off your VE table during decel, it will simply use the last value. My experience as an amateur tuner is to simply give the engine what it wants, don't worry about what the VE table looks like at first, eventually it will all fall into place and make sense, but if you're in early tuning stages and haven't tuned before, keep an open mind and give the engine the fuel it needs regardless of what your pre-conceived ideas might be. So if it's running lean when you put it in gear, give it more fuel until it has enough in that box/boxes on the VE table at that tuning point.

Stim is short for Stimulator - used for testing and diagnosing MS. See here: http://www.megamanual.com/v22manual/v1stim.htm
There are newer versions. Check with a supplier.

alpha numeric

Ian,

That is what I did (more gas) which is why the VE table looked wierd. I think alpha numeric would be an advantage if I had a manual tranny but I am going back to speed density because it adjusts better under load at idle.

Thanks for your input.
