Supercharged 4AGE 20v

Post by Underdog51 »

I have had the megasquirt on my silvertop 20v for a couple of months. Its been good me. I have just fitted the GZE supercharger to the 20v and 4 thortles so i was wondering if anybody had some base maps to start with. I will be honest, i am alot better with fabrication then tuning. I am going to be running the 365cc injectors, 7 psi out of the supercharger to the stock 11-1 compression. I know this should be something i should be able to figure out by now but i am still not completly comfortable with what i am doing as far as tunning. thanks for any help. you can e-mail me at teamunderdog51@yahoo.com

I use Marc's MAP from the black top i just retarded the timing slightly. It's online here somewhere. How much manifold pressure should i expect with 7 psi? thanks

If 14psi = 100Mpa, then 21psi must be 150Mpa. That is where I would start...

atmosphieric =14
7 psi boost = 14+7=21

If you look in my Success Story (link in sig) there's another link to my configuration document. It's for an NA car. Down in the file are links to my fuel and spark maps, in VEX format for 12x12 tables, MSnS-E. The fuel is rich and the spark is a little retarded for my NA 16 valve 4age. The car ran fine tho. Should be a good starting point. For a car running 7 psi supercharged, I would back off the timing numbers about 4-5 across the board to start.

dont you think a 11:1 compression is a little bit very high for boost!?

stock turbo cars run like 8 or 8.5:1....
some people do it on 9.5 tot 10:1 but 11:1...damn

its high, but if you keep detonation under control its fine :D there was a turbo blacktop running around 7psi running around the drift tracks in aust, was making REALLY good power and it managed to throw a rod before it busted a piston (is a drift car, LOTS of revs!)

are you using the req_fuel generator and the VE table generator that available online? i heard most people says the generators on the web will create a richer mixture compare to a tuned table using a WB O2? so we actually de-tune the values inside the VE table to get the best combo is it?
