Anyone using this style 3 tower coil?

I am getting one of these GM coil packs and some plug wires so maybe I can ease the initial setup of my BMW motor. It has coil on plug right now but I am not sure whether it's my wiring, my coils, or my trigger settings messing up. Is there anyone running thise sort of coil that could give me a walk through on how to use it with 6 cyl wasted spark? This is a wasted spark coil right? Therefore only needs 3 VB921s?

What vehicle is that setup from originally? They seem to be pretty popular with GM engines. They even look like mine (GM 3800 (aka buick v6)).

Here's a thread that might give you some ideas.

Thanks CPOM - it's from a Pontiac Grand Am V6 I got it for ~$20 + shipping. Now all I need are some spark plug wires.
