Logging knock

Post by poundinfire »

I know I have seen how to tell Megatune to log knock before, but I can't seem to find that info anymore. Is it still possible to log knock in MSnS-E 29q2?

The MSnS-extra.ini is already setup to log Knock, Look at the log, all the way over to column X, That's where Knock is in my configuration.

Right click on the guages, you can replace one of your guages with the Knock angle guage, you can see if the system sees any knock by the presence of retard in your Knock retard guage. Of course that assumes you have knock retard turned on, and a valid signal going in at the processor pin 17, or JS10 V3.0, or JP1-5 V2.2.

Thanks Scott. I haven't actually looked at the raw data of a log in a loooooong time, I must have just missed it in the ini file as well. Now all I need to do is get an exhaut system on my car and I can start tuning spark as well as modifying the fuel a bit for the new engine.
