MAP 70 kPa at idle, is that a problem?

Post by arnold »

Hi there

The best MAP I can get at idle is 70kPa, I know this is high, but I run a superchager and I think this SC rises the MAP readings at idle as well. Moreover I think the byepass valve (byepassing the blower) is not working at idle. Anyway, is this high MAP reading a problem. What might be result?

Arnold,

I wondered the same thing about my idle map, I idle around 70 kpa also. I am not sure what effects of the SC, but my idle is the result of a big cam, and yours may be too. I got a few responses back to my post here.
