Some pretty simple questions...
anyways.
1st: i wired per some instructions to get a VICS (variable intake control system or something along those lines...) running on my car...i wired the pin marked S12C to JS9 (+12C) and then jumpered (1A)JS0 to IAC1A which comes out at pin 25 on the DB37 cable...SO once i did that. i hook'ed it the stock solenoid which of course needs + and - the negative went to a good body ground and the positive went to pin 25...now i know this solenoid is good cause i put 12volts to it and clicks right away. with that in mind i set the settings in Mega Tune under pt6-iac1 for a rpm activation >(greater then correct?) 3000 with a hysteresis of 100...no second condition a power on of 0 and triggered vlue of 1...does this sound right? when i turn the key on sometimes i can hear the solenoid kick on then off...but its not working like it should...i can set it for like 1500 rpm rev it up and it still doesnt work...what am i missing here? just a note i tried a power-on of 1 and still nothing...
2nd: I would like to as above have a basic on and off operation...kind of like a toggle switch. just an on and off. its for my fan right now its on a toggle to a solenoid...but i want it to be activated at a certain heat range...obviously.. so any input on another output of the MS would be appreciated...
for right now thats all i can think of...any help is as always greatly appreciated...thanks guys

I find your post a bit hard to read because of the lack of captalization, etc.
It looks like you are trying to get a rpm activated output on IAC1A. If you have a stim, the first thing to do is test the conditions etc. with the FIdle port first, to see if the conditions, etc. work there. Then apply the same settings to the IAC1A port. Note that the IAC may be inverted, so you'll want to test that as well (using the LED tester). Then try it in the car.
You typically need to cycle the power when changing the spare output settings.
If you want to post your MSQ, we can try it on our bench to verify your settings.

You need to set the idle control algorithm to 'None'.
With the V2.35 code loaded, and your MSQ file loaded as well (idlCtrl=none), I get that JS2 (aka. X4) (pin#36 on the CPU socket) is high below 3000 rpm, low above 3000 rpm (ignoring hysteresis). This is the one to use if you are grounding the relay, and you want it on above 3000 rpm.
JS3/X5 (pin #35) is low below 3000, high above it (which is what you want if you are powering the relay using the IAC port).
Note that these are actually IAC2A and 2B, so I think there's a slight bug in the MegaTune spare port configuration.
If you wired these as per the instructions (JS2 to IAC2A , JS3 to IAC2B) then you will get:
- DB37 pin 29 high below 3000 rpm, low above it, and
- DB37 pin 31 low below 3000 rpm, and high above it.
