duty cycle problems

Post by Stock »

Im sure Ive seen threads on this before but cant find them :?. Someone can probably answer this quick enough anyway.

Is it normal for duty cycle in datalogs to be > 100% (if injectors are too small). I spent the day retuning for a new injector/cam combo and reviewing the logs the duty cycle is up to 128%.

Not sure if this is normal (eg - 128 is what would be required which doesnt seem likely considering the cam/injectors) or if I've stuffed a setting up somewhere.

Thanks,
Mark.

Stock,

Yes and no. It is an indication of too small injectors, but only if your VE table, accel enrichments, etc., are perfect for your combination. If your VE table and accel are too rich, then tuning them will bring the duty cycle down, possibly below 100% if your injector flow rate is adequate.
