well the reason megatune wont let u change it is because u gota select the "unknown wide band controller thingy" its the most bottomest option i belive, that will let u change the 0~5 volt readings in megatune.....

as for a idle afr i notice that my car likes 13 ish but whith head lights and fans full blast! this will ossuilate and my afr will tend to up up to 14.5 ish when this is happening (less power in the system) reason be because i undersized my crank pully :) u shouldnt have this problem, anyhow how are u controling ur idle?? PWM valve? IAC? i looked at ur datalog and it seems that ur throttle postion sensor isnt wired or is wierd incorectly... i can see where u gas it up and the TPS reading stays same.... ur gonna want get that fixed up soon or later heh....

id almost recommend reburning code into megasquirt so u can get the orginal fuel map back? if ur VE map is all screwy then things will be that much more complicated, megatune dose come with a "auto tune feature" which works pretty dam well get u where u want... ive used it before and after i dialed in my fuel map and it smooths it out quite a bit!.... prety much ur VE%'s for idle should be same "roughly " for mild cruiseing at low rpm.... when u let off the gass and pull vacume (decelerating) ur map reading will go into the 30~20 KPA range) at this point of ur map u might want pull back of on the VE% by 10 or 20 % of ur idle VE %? follow me yet? then say for mild load ranges of 50~80 kpa ur ve% is going be to higher then ur idle of course maybe reaching 50~70 VE%'s but once u get on road always keep ur eye on the AFR meter if u have one or megatunes AFR gauge.... theres no reason why all of sudden u would lean or or go really rich, if u have a decent fuel map or even the stock one in megasquirt u should be ok! i wouldnt go any higher then 3 grand on the tach and cruise in high gears .... u should be able to putter down to a muffler shop

sean

heh theres plenty of documentaion in the fourms and manuel for megasquirt, pictures help the best! heh its very different for everysetup to tune....
Im hear to take over everyone and there megasquirt, ive been there done that with my own EFI gizzmo's check my site out for more!! :)

ok the afr calibration i get now...thanks as far as the tps the stock one is a three wire and it reads on and off...so that would be much help i dont think...i bought a four wire and it wont fit on my tb (didnt know that when i bought it..). the gentleman i bought the MS from said i could use a program called mapdot? ad not even wire in the tps...so yeah its not even hooked up, i dont know what mapdot is or where it is...let me know if it would work... as far as the ve table i believe i follow you suprisingly and i have enclosed a picture of what mine is right now along with the afr table..maybe some light can be shed...but just by looking at it it seems i will be cutting most of them in half if i go by your numbers...maybe this is ok i dont know i will try it either way...and ill watch the afr from the lc-1..as far as the autotune feature i can use that once i have the lc-1 and MT showing the same number? I would assume unless it needs more inputs if this is the case let me know...and ill see what i can do..i have a few saved web pages about the auto tune from this website that i will read over but im gonna try the o2 settings and the ve and afr table changes you suggested...ill brb

ok so i changed those three things...o2 is dead nuts now it seems, and the afr and ve are adjusted with the genrate table...now they are lower then what they were and the afr is showing like 11.2 or 11.3 either way i think thats better but its not 13...how would i get it higher?...which way do i go now? autotune? its weird to get it to start i have to crank it three times...then it starts...i have no idea what that means but...thats what happens. here is a log file from the updated setup...im gonna lookup the auto tune feature and see what i can find...thanks

OK so here is my new prob when it WAS running it was running good BUT it was almost impossible to start..once it did it ran good..so with that said it doesnt run anymore..i just found out that i burnt the coil driver out...the transistor has a spark right through the side to the heatsink...so i need to replace that...my prob questions are

Do need a ballast resistor before my coil, its a msd blaster 2 coil...if i dont have one is this why it could burn out...

NEXT if i didnt have to crank so much this wouldnt have heated up...so im going to enclude my msq and a recent log file...if someone could look through them and tell me what i need to change? I mean i think its running to rich but while i drive it seems to be lean...it idles at 14.7...so thats perfect. but off idle is seemed lean..which is why i uped the ve's. now i was told that i had the lc-1 running to fast and i need to kick down the refresh so thats maybe why i was seeing all those lean spikes...i dont know cause i cant test it out cause it wont run anymore...so please someone help me out...or i will need to tow it...thanks in advance.
