Auto tune advice
I have read numerous posts and seen how people have changed their .ini files, but I would like to find a complete list of how it works.
I have MSnS ver3 board 024s13 code.
What is a good .ini change to start with and then what should I switch to for a more fine tune.
I am running a narrow band o2 right now, but should be putting a wide band on in a few weeks.
Attached is what I have right now and the car runs very poorly
thanks

The default settings are pretty good really, start with them and try to figure the rest out as you go along, if you do a lot of driving around with the laptop working beside you, you´ll end up with a really nice "base" map that you after that can start to tweak in for driveability/economy/power and whatever more you want to achive.
Just push the button and try it
But save your settings before you start and don´t forget to burn the table in before you stop the engine or MT
You will wonder how you ever got along without it .
I'm attaching some stuff for AutoTune .
It contains my setup and some instructions .
I would wait on your new WB 02 to do any tuning ,
your just guessing with a Narrow Band 02 .

Thank you
The files not corrupt. It's a self extracting Zip file and he changed the extension to .txt because you can post .exe files. Change the extension or right click it, and select open with and then choose Win Zip
Look carefully at the name .
This is a "Self Extracting Zip File"
The extension is actually .EXE , The Forum software doesn't allow exe files ,
so I changed the extension by adding on .TXT after the .EXE .
Right Click on the download box and select "Save As" ,
when the Save As dialog box opens , select where you want to put all the files ,
Your Desktop is usually a good place ,
Right Click in an empty space and select NEW , then select Folder ,
then Double Click on the new folder to open it ,
rename the file to AutoTune Stuff.exe , then click the Save button .
Then go find the folder you just created on the Desktop , it should be named
"New Folder" Double Click on the Folder to Open it , Double Click on the file and follow the instuctions .

Please clarify something for me.
When driving the car with auto tune engaged, does the performance of the car increase as you drive, or do you have to periodically burn the ve table corrections as you drive. I know if you turn the car off without burning all is lost, but does the car run on the ve map in the MS or does it from the ve map in autotune that is being changed by autotuen as you drive?

No changes will be made outside of these windows (ranges)lance wrote:Karl,
The VE table in use is updated as you drive. It is updated in RAM memory, which is lost if you power off, so if you want to keep the changes, you have to 'burn' the VE table to flash memory to make it 'stick'.

Doesn't that indicate that it will auto tune the idle? Aren't we advised against this?
