AFR on E20 ?

Post by schmidt »

Hello Everybody,

I was thinking that the stoich AFR for gas is 14,7 (Lamda = 1 .. Duh !), but if you add 20% of ethanol on it, how would it be ?
And if you're using a lambda meter, such as LC-1, near the stoich point I think there's no problem, but as you put more fuel and makes the mixture richer(Lambda <1), can you thrust in the numbers ?
I'm asking that because we have 20% of ethanol in our gas... (regular = 92 oct ! 8) )

Hope you guys can understand my english ! :) "ME WANT FOOD!"

Cheers
Daniel

Stoich AFR for E20 is 13.142

You can find more about how differnt H/C and O/C ratio in the fuel affect your WB sensor readings in this thread.
