With no accel enrichments, i get a cough during gearchanges or when the throttle is blipped. Its still very drivable, but much better with a proper tune.

Is it normal for duty cycle in datalogs to be > 100% (if injectors are too small).

Stock,

Yes and no. It is an indication of too small injectors, but only if your VE table, accel enrichments, etc., are perfect for your combination. If your VE table and accel are too rich, then tuning them will ...

duty cycle problems

Im sure Ive seen threads on this before but cant find them :?. Someone can probably answer this quick enough anyway.

Is it normal for duty cycle in datalogs to be > 100% (if injectors are too small). I spent the day retuning for a new injector/cam combo and reviewing the logs the duty cycle is up ...

I agree. I think its better to take a conservative guess at the timing curve, tune the AFR, then go back and fine tune spark.

You can work out something close from here - http://www.msefi.com/viewtopic.php?t=9941 (Download one of the excel spreadsheets and go from there)

Different gear, different afr?

Been busy at work for a while now but going to get back into tuning soon. I did my initial VE table tuning on road in 3rd gear and got a smooth 12.5:1 AFR @ WOT and was happy. When I ran in 1st and 2nd it was richer though. This was very consistant, 12:1 in 1st to 12.5:1 by 3rd. The datalogs show ...

Tuning considerations for broadband intake manifolds

Hello again

I have a MS2 controlling fuel and ignition on a 4.0L Ford straight 6 with a broadband manifold with the intake runners switching from long to short at 3800rpm. At the moment I have a good (but safe) tune and will be looking to start squeezing a bit more out of it soon. I am wondering ...
