It looks like there's something wrong with your coolant temp, your log shows it reading 180 all the time.

I understand that the race car did have throttle feel issues but never explored progressive throttle opening. Will narrower tubes above the throttle plates help?

I'm not sure what you mean by narrower tubes but one feature I designed into the throttle bodies was a fairly shallow 7 degree angle ...

Re: The folly of individual throttle bodies.

I like open systems so Megasquirt will be my ECU choice for the project.
Currently I have an AC, a 351C cleveland, 190cfm heads, and about 400hp. I also have acquired some huge Cleveland 65mm hilborne throttle bodies modified to accept EFI injectors. Now my questions...

65mm? that's big. What's ...

I've had very good luck with my own ITB's. They do typically have a distinctive VE curve but once you recognise what to look for it's as tunable as anything else. I've found revving from a free load idle to be the trickiest part of tuning but that's just my car. As far as the VE table goes, you ...

It looked like you could have started to get too lean as you dropped the idle speed. Those are big injectors, maybe your lowest idle ve bins should be richened up until you get the PWM and lag times dialed in. Also, drop that 2.672b code and get the new 2.683. Are you sure your advance on the car ...

After you do what you can to physically soften the map signal, if you still have a fluctuation of MAP at a certain condition, you'll have to make those ve bins similar. In other words, if your map bounces around between 92-100 kpa under full throttle, you may want to make the 93, 95 and 100 bin ...

Here are some thoughts from my testing on my car, it represents extremes of throttle sizing, displacement and mass which have made it tricky to tune.
I now have it dialed in using 2.6 x-tau only AE after alot of experimentation, here are a few things I've found:
The x-tau table shouldn't have ...

The 6AL works nicely, you would use it's tach output for Megasquirt, the manual has straightforward instructions for setting it up. Using your distributor with the 6AL and controlling fuel only with MS really simplifies things.

the datalog file looks empty, was that the correct one? I'm with Jedrik, I would suspect spark plug wiring, it's very easy to get EDIS wires out of whack. Sometimes you just have to move plug wires around when all else fails.

It may not apply to you but my car would only start when warm with some afterstart enrichment, a fairly high percentage for very few engine cycles, for us MSII users, ASE at 160 degrees wasn't allowed until the new 2.54 and up beta versions. Before that I had to use a high cranking pulsewidth for ...
