Re: Code to fix offset/delay teeth

Yeah I can organise to get it sent back to you - PM me with a postal address and i'll get the wheels turning. Does your gut tell you that this would be the last major flash that is needed or is there a way that I might be able to rig it up so I can flash it from over here down the track?

Did Bruce ...

Code to fix offset/delay teeth

Hey guys/Al/Bruce...

I'm going to be gearing up soon to re-fit the sequencer to my Pontiac engine in the coming weeks and I was reading that Al had stumbled upon the bug where the offset and delay teeth for those of us running chopper wheels had to be messed with quite a fair bit. I was curious if ...

Re: More Data

Sweet! You didn't do any other modifications to the PCB or anything like that?

With your 36-1 wheel in the BMW, where is the first tooth in relation to #1 TDC and what did you end up using for offset and delay? From memory my first tooth after the missing is 11° BTDC.

The car at the moment has no ...

Re: More Data

That is actually really good news to hear Scott/Bruce - now that you guys are coming into the cold season and we're warming up, I still have my old setup (harness & coils) ready to go back on the car any time. I've run into a slight issue of a brake line snapping and i'm going to replace all of them ...

Re: Sequencer almost ready to fire

Also VREF is tied to the bootloader wire(s) for those that hooked them there - in the original doco's it said to do that for the beta units.

Re: Sequencer almost ready to fire

I'll also look at how I can re-run the +12V wires and check to make sure the supply is clean but the way it's wired up now is just so convenient and clean. Looking at LS1 wiring looms from places like SpeedSceneWiring and EFIConnection, they include the supply wires too but instead of having 1 loom ...

Re: Sequencer almost ready to fire

Yeah the engine will not rev at all and the plugs are black so fuel is going in, but there's alot of drama's with getting a bang in the cylinders. I wonder if I have the correct Spark Output, currently it's set to "Going High (Inverted)" but that was for the old VB921 setup. I dont have Scott's ...

Re: Sequencer almost ready to fire

Thinking about the noise issue more, the way I have wired up the car is a typical "spinal cord" loom, same way I did my MS2. Everything is wrapped together through the engine and branches out, now, I have the power wires for the coils & injectors wrapped up in this loom with the only difference to ...

Re: Sequencer almost ready to fire

Ok... progress! I put a 220uf 50V electrolytic cap across C60 and bingo, no more problems with the power supply. Also I jumpered the reset pins on the BDM which didn't really help my comm's problem, but I had found that in my wiring I had forgotten to send the bootloaders to +5V after fixing that ...
