It has been weeks and I'm still messing around trying to fix this. I started with 0 ase, and adjusted my VE table until I got stable 14:1 a/f at idle. Then I tried adding ase back in. It definitely helps then engine start up, it will pop on the first try with 10% ase, but I have noticed that the ...

Sorry, I haven't been on here recently. I dropped the ASE to 0, pre-warmed my O2 sensor, started the engine and adjusted the cold enrichment until the a/f ratio was in the 14 range. 8 hours later the car cooled off and it started on the first try with no throttle at all - sweet. The next morning it ...

I aplogize, I never did get it. I had not seen him in a few weeks, when I called to ask for the tune he alread sold the car. He had a 7-bolt engine, it was a freshly built engine w/h-beams, forged pistons...etc. and after only 8k miles it started to crank walk! ouch!

I'm going to visit my parents ...

Changes in code 2.35

I was just wondering what the changes were in the 2.35 code (I am running 2.33). I searched and didn't find any results, I could be looking in the wrong places though.
Thanks.

Odd a/f ratio jump after startup, log file included.

I am having trouble starting up on occasion and finally had an idea. I wired my wideband O2 sensor so I could manually warm it up before I started the car. Then I started a log file and cranked the car over. Luckily I had the starting problem this time and was able to record it.

The car will fire ...

Yes you can use the resistor pack, however the V3.0 board can run low impedance injectors without modification (unlike the V2.2 board that needs the flyback circuit added.) In my opinion I would eliminate the resistor pack because I think it can cause slight inconsistancy. I have read about this ...

We can try to go through things one at a time.

How do you have your injector characteristics? The DSM has low impedance injectors which require a low "PWM Current Limit". My car has high impedance injectors and I have 100% in that value, while my friend DSM has something like 25% in that value.

I can't really help you out, but I installed a MSII with EDIS on my buddies car. We had on/off problems for weeks because of how the factory system feeds current to the computer for a few seconds after the key is turned off and somtimes pulses it when turned on. We finally removed EDIS, rewired the ...

If your 1.8 is a four cylinder you should be pretty good. That gives you about .45L per cylinder where our 2.5L V6's have 4.167L per cyilinder that requires a lower RF value. However if you have the tiny Mazda 1.8L V6 then your really stuck. You could run two sets of smaller injectors and stage them ...

I just got to try them today and even though they were barely different from mine it did help out. Especially the prime duration! I just need to work out a bad hiccup I'm having when I'm in boost. I didn't try your VE table, I'm wondering if it is strictly because it is pig rich running with the ...
