Re: Tachometer issues

I'm not sure. It's an old Jaeger unit, probably designed in the late 1960's. I'm yet to get any information from the guys on the French car forums. Is there some way to find out?

Tachometer issues

Hi all,

Since getting my car running, I've tried both IDM output (pin 2 on EDIS module), pin 35 (tach output on uS) and even soldered up my own module with the three diodes as shown on the EDIS page. None of these solutions has worked and I've no idea on how to troubleshoot or find out whether the ...

Firmware update - Megatunix not recognising firmware

Just did an update of the firmware on my MicroSquirt v2 to Megasquirt Extra V 3.2.4. The update seemed to go fine but when I went to run Megatunix it did not recognise the firmware. I updated to the latest version of Megatunix via git today (26 November 2012), but that did not resolve the issue ...

Re: VR sensor position

Okay, got that one sorted. I have a new question, however. How do I get the TPS to affect my timing advance? I only see MAP.

Re: VR sensor position

I'm thinking the coil wiring (negative wires) could be around the wrong way. I may have a chance to check this this afternoon.

VR sensor position

Hi all,

I've got an adjustable trigger wheel and set the pulley to be at TDC. As show in this diagram http://www.megamanual.com/ms2/EDIS_system.gif , when the engine is at TDC I've rotated the missing tooth past the sensor (with regards to the clockwise motion of the pulley when the engine is ...

Re: Wiring up intercooler pump

How do I go about setting the paramets to use the ALED and WLED options? I'm using Megatunix to set things up and I don't understand the options or how I would go about telling it to send a signal when the TPS reading is above half throttle.

Note: I have a latching relay which is set to one minute ...

Re: Turning off fuel injection?

So which of these needs to be grounded: (and am I missing any?)

Spare Input (pin 5)
Flex Fuel (pin 6)
Map (pin 24)
CLT (pin 25)
IAT (pin 26)
O2 (pin 34)

TPS (pin 26) --using this

I'm thinking that only Map (pin 24) needs to be grounded/run high as Map is expected to be used by uS whereas the rest ...
