Re: Random Resets

After trying everything under the sun to get rid of random resets, I finally got another uS and my problems were solved instantly. The resets seemed to have no pattern. I generally seemed to get one every 3 - 5 minutes of running. Changing to external ignition drivers seemed to clean up my tach a ...

Re: Ignition Drivers

I don't know which one is "ideal". The 211 is the one listed in the manual - http://www.microsquirt.info/Bosch_211.htm After a lot of research I used an older 2 channel unit. There is some info that might help you here - http://www.tfelectronics.com.au/PageFiles/ignition.html.

I had a hard time ...

I have no idea what this guy did - but thought I'd pass this post on to you. Maybe you can contact him and find out what he did.

Capacitor for Logic Level Conversion

Due to resets and tach issues, I want to convert my version 1 Microsquirt to use logic level ignition output (http://www.microsquirt.info/us_logic_level_spark.htm) . Can someone give me more info on the .001 uF capacitors that are recommended for doing this? What type and what voltage rating should ...

Random Resets

I'm still getting some resets. They seem completely random, with no regard to RPM - they happen about as often at idle as they do at cruise and high RPM. The frequency varies, generally one reset every 5 - 10 minutes of running time. One thing I think I've noticed - it seems that the resets are far ...

Re: *** MicroSquirt issues with VR Sensor input - fix ***

This might help someone.

I had ignition issues that I thought this mod might resolve for me. I couldn't tach past about 4K RPM.I thought this mod might fix the problem for me but it didn't help at all.

What did work was increasing the gap between trigger wheel and sensor. When I first tried to ...

Re: Another Trigger Offset Question

Comments? Anyone?

I need to start working on my spark map but I'd really like to get the offset question figured out first.

Re: Tachometer Output/Tach Dead?

Thanks Matt. I've started checking into Tach Adapters. Maybe that will work for me.

Another Trigger Offset Question

I'm running wasted spark on an inline 4 cylinder. I'm running dual spark single crank wheel only mode, with a 30-2 wheel, and delay teeth set at 9. (I can easily adjust my trigger wheel relative to the crank - making changes is no problem at all.)

Currently my trigger offset is set at negative 1 in ...
