Ok. i got my hands on an ancient 10mhz scope that looks like it's seen better days. I unfortunatly couldn't get a full cycle into one screen as the scope couldn't go that slow... and actually show a usefull image. the trace just wouldn't lag long enough. But, here is what i was able to capture. I ...

Thanks, Grippo, for the suggestions. I've implimented them as well as upgraded to 2.883i and gave it a try.

Unfortunatly, i'm still no go. I've asked around and found someone who will loan me a o-scope for a night... so hopefully in a day or two i'll have a capture of my crank and cam timing ...

After several hours today of trying different things, i'm a little closer, but still having cam trigger issues.

I had to re-install megatune on a different (older, more reliable) laptop, re-update the microsquirt, and start fresh with the configs... that finally got me some results from the sensors ...

Well, i did a fresh install of megatune, updated the microsquirt to 2.883b and dropped the associated files into the car1 directory and then configured everything by hand again, including the type setting... and loaded them into the microsquirt.

Now, i don't have the warning 0 - 8000 - 0 - 8000 ...

oops... never mind on that last tidbit.. I had looked for the microsquirt ecu type setting but hadn't found it. I just read that my symptoms are done to tell me that i hadn't set it. I will find it, set it, and give it a try again.

Thanks again, everyone.

Ok, so i got it updated to v2.882 ... and fixed a wiring glitch i found (one vr sensor wiring was reversed) and now the microsquirt stays online and actually will show the proper RPM when cranking. Yay!

But, now i've got a couple new problems. Under v2.883, none of my sensors are registering at all ...

Thanks, Bruce, for the response.

Ya, I'm pretty sure I'm not running the latest release. I haven't updated it at all so it's running the original 1st run shipping rev. ... It's been sitting half wired for a while, getting married somewhat paused the project until recently.

As for the wiring ...

dual vr wiring

Hey all, I've got an interesting question about wiring up my uS. Every time i crank the motor, the Microsquirt powers down instantly. I've done the basic troubleshooting of isolating the grounds and power directly to the battery and also jumping the battery to a larger one to confirm enough voltage ...

Thank you very much for the update!! I'm planning to use uS for fuel only so I'm ready! Who wants my credit card???

Buck

I'm seconding this comment. I have a race coming shortly that I would like to use the uS on. So needless to say I'd like to get one in my hands asap to start tuning ...
