I am just finishing up replacing the CIS injection system on my 1980 mercedes 450slc with a megasquirt setup. Good ridance to the CIS! The hardest part was crafting the fuel rails and fuel plumbing. First I measured the distance from the ridge on the metal ring of one fuel injector to the ridge on the metal ring of the next fuel injector. I then transfered these to a sitck of wood. I repeated this for the remaining fuel injectors.

Here is the three foot piece of aluminum fuel rail stock. I found out with the copper fuel rail that the holes for the fuel injectors had to be perfectly spaced and aligned for it to fit properly. So instead of butchering this piece of stock I decided to build a prototype out of wood first.

Where can you get a 13.5mm reamer? I looked at grizzley tools and they don't carry a 13.5mm reamer.

Pardon my ignorance but I assume I can just chuck a reamer up in my drill press or in a chuck in my lathe to ream a fuel injector pocket? Will a reamer ...

Can you control the idle with the stock CPU and the rest of the fuel with the MS? It would seem to me that fast idle would be a function of letting in extra air and adding extra fuel. How could you use the stock cpu to add extra air and MS to add extra fuel?
