Good question about the resisters. I did mine, but I think from the calculations done, see a good few posts back, it is probably not that necessary. The thinking was that the chip was current limiting and that is why steps were lost. As we now know that was not the issue and it was down to software ...

Ok, can you please confirm what I am seeing is correct.

Warmed engine, ~950rpm idle I see ~50KPa. I then went to the auto-tune screen and watched the graph with the moving point indicator. When I revved the engine, with no additional load I saw the pointer fall off the map. My VE map was based on ...

I have just taken my first run and noticed the same thing. At idle, after full warm-up I am seeing about 43KPa (interesting that when I did a check before removing the carb I was seeing abount 50KPa), but at other times I have seen values as low as 30KPa.

Is this drop in MAP more likely to happen ...

Checking timing with EDIS

I have an EDIS-8 installation with MS2, all runs fine but I have been unable to confirm my timing. Can anybody explain why my timing light will trigger off coils B,C and D, but not A which has cylinder No.1 on it. I very occasionally get a couple of flashes and think my timing is in the right ...
